 On Sunday, May 25, 2008, a group of very brave swimmers will face the currents of the Ware River in Virginia and swim 2.5 miles in order to raise money for needy children. The proceeds will go to the Peace Frogs Bank to Bank Charitable Fund, a component fund of The Gloucester Community Foundation. This year’s event will benefit The Rural Infant Services Program of the Middle Peninsula, an organization that helps children from birth to 3 with developmental delay to reach their full potential.
Last year swimmers raised over $30,000.00, and the goal this year is to double that amount. We need your help to meet that goal and, don’t worry, you don’t have to put on a wetsuit!
